The NEW Zephyr Website

It’s not often that we see a local real estate brokerage compete with the national players on the web front. However, our fearless leaders at Zephyr have recently launched a website that is nothing short of exceptional:

zephyrsf.com

The site is clean and easy to navigate, while still offering the user a ton of content and search options. First and foremost, you have the ability to quickly and easily search the MLS directly from the home page, in addition to searching for open houses and checking your home’s value. The property search feature allows you to see all the homes on the market, not just Zephyr listings.

Other GREAT features:

• Explore Neighborhoods: Extremely robust section of the site, complete with useful information about 89 individual neighborhoods with maps, descriptions, market trends charts, available properties, open houses, and more. This is truly an exceptional portal on its own.

• Explore Schools: Zephyr has pulled together content and stats on every public and private school in the City. All put together at your fingertips in a useful, searchable database, so you can find schools near any address, by school type, by grade range, and by keyword (such as the name of the school or descriptive phrases such as “Cantonese” to find schools with Cantonese language programs). And as a bonus, you can select up to 7 schools to print out a side-by-side school comparison report.

• Market Trends: Incredible statistics. Charts and heat maps with sales data, including median price information, number of sold properties and average days on market. And, check out current neighborhood-level stats on the RealStats heat map.

The site still serves as a means to promote Zephyr properties and agents, but it’s a giant step forward with regards to brokerage real estate websites and truly offers more SF information than any other site currently on the web. There are national sites that have great stats, but lack the local content. There are local sites that have great neighborhood data, but fail to offer market trends and stats. Zephyrsf.com does it all. With the site currently in BETA, there are sure to be even more great features still to come. Check it out!

“Bikeability”…The New Walkability?
Call it the new hot word. For the past few months we’ve been hearing more and more about “walkability” and a neighborhood or home’s “Walk Score.” Well, move over walking, make way for biking! Thanks to Google Maps you’ll now be able to check the “bikeability” between any two points in San Francisco. Just as easily as you can get driving directions from Potrero Hill to Noe Valley, you can now search for bike routes that offer riders the more bike-friendly routes to get to and from destinations across the City. Looking to avoid riding up Rhode Island or wanting to steer clear of traffic on Gough and Franklin? Look no further than Google Maps!

With a quick click of the drop down box, you can get driving, walking, public transit and now biking routes too.

Ride on Google!
